This Pluck Tea exclusive matcha was crafted especially for the Canadian market when we first started offering matcha over 10 years ago. It is a unique blend of two spring harvests from Kagoshima, Japan. At the time of development, most matcha in Canada was consumed in a latte format. This blend features the complex umami flavours of the spring harvests while being bold enough to shine through milk in lattes. Yabukita (やぶきた) is the most widely grown cultivar, accounting for over 70% of Japan’s tea crops. It’s known for its balanced profile, fresh grassy notes, and strong umami.

Saemidori (さえみどり) produces a vivid green matcha with a sweeter, umami-rich flavour and light astringency.
